SB 16 - The ban on So called Assault Weapons (would only apply to law abiding citizens)

SB 0102 - Prohibits multiple sales of handguns within a 30-day period. Creates the offense of unlawful acquisition of handguns.(would only apply to law abiding citizens)

SB 1007 - Would ban standard capacity magazines ( all over 10 rounds and includes tubular magazines ) this would get your .17 cal rimfire rifles and many lever actions which hold more than 10 rounds. (ie. Henry Golden Boy)

SB 1095 - Originally just a shell bill now the bill is an ammo serial number and ammo registration act.

SB 1399 - Makes illegal to sell or otherwise transfer, expose for sale or transfer, or have in his or her possession with the intent to sell or transfer any handgun without being a licensed handgun dealer. Would ban private sales of handguns.

SB 1440 - Increases the fee for the issuance of a Firearm Owner's Identification Card from $5 to $10.

SB 1471 - Prohibits the sale, manufacture, purchase, possession, or carrying of 50 caliber rifles. 185 jobs in the quad Cities area would be moved out of state so that Armalite and its suppliers could adhere to the gun manufacturing ban provided by law. We are loosing enough business as it is!

SB 0731 - Weapon's storage provision that would render your firearms useless for personal protection in your own home.

HB 0758 - Outlaws private sales of handguns House Amendment No. 1 - Subjects every private handgun transaction to the same rules as a gunshow.Would prohibit you from selling your handguns to your shooting buddies and force you to make all sales through a dealer and require the buyer to pay a fee to the dealer.

HB 0796 - Creates the Handgun Dealer Licensing Act. Provides that no person may sell or otherwise transfer, expose for sale or transfer, or have in his or her possession with the intent to sell or transfer any concealable firearm without being licensed under the Act.Provides for the regulation of handguns through licensure by the Department of State Police at a cost of $300 per license.

HB 0873 - So Called Assault Weapons Ban. Provides that it is unlawful for any person within this State to knowingly manufacture, deliver, sell, purchase, or possess or cause to be manufactured, delivered, sold, purchased, or possessed a semi-automatic assault weapon, an assault weapon attachment, any .50 caliber rifle, or .50 caliber cartridge.

HB 1078 - Prohibits multiple sales of handguns within a 30-day period. Creates the offense of unlawful acquisition of handguns.

HB 1696 - Provides that the Department of State Police may revoke the Firearm Owner's Identification Card of a person who fails to report the loss or theft of a firearm to the Department within 72 hours after obtaining knowledge of the loss or theft.

HB 1793 - would send you to jail if you were transporting a firearm in your car and you drove within 1,000 ft of a bus, train, a bus stop, a train station or any other conveyance facility operated by a public transportation agency.

HB 3419 - Provides that it is unlawful to repaint or recoat a firearm with a color other than the original manufactured color of the firearm.

HB 3633 - Requires (instead of permits) the Department of State Police to deny, revoke and seize a Firearm Owner's Identification Card previously issued under the Act if someone has sworn an order of protection against the person to whom such card was issued.
